Discussion panel: Future Renewable Energy Solutions in Sudan
This session will explore the practical implementation of sustainable technologies, beginning with a focus on Solar and Wind Mapping to identify high-potential sites across the Northern and Red Sea states for large-scale deployment. The panel will delve into the technical designs of Off-Grid and Mini-Grid Solutions, examining how localized power systems can effectively bridge the energy gap for rural villages currently beyond the reach of the national grid. Additionally, we will analyze the engineering and economic benefits of Solar Irrigation, highlighting the transformative impact of replacing traditional diesel pumps with solar-powered systems to drive efficiency and sustainability in Sudan’s agricultural sector.
