He brings an impressive background of over 20 years of industry experience coupled with 11 years of academic experience. He is currently a PhD Candidate in Computer Engineering at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, focusing his thesis on Transformer Algorithms and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). Currently serving as an Instructor at Istanbul Bilgi University, his expertise perfectly bridges the gap between deep academic theory and high-performance industry applications.

Biography:
Çağdaş Özer is an AI & ML Developer, Data Scientist, and Senior Software Engineer. He brings a robust background with over 20 years of industry experience and 11 years of academic experience. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in Computer Engineering at Istanbul University - Cerrahpaşa, where he is at the thesis defense stage, focusing his research on Transformers Algorithms and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
Throughout his career, he has successfully merged his engineering discipline with data science to build large-scale integrations and sustainable data pipelines. He manages the end-to-end data lifecycle, from high-performance backend architectures to advanced database optimizations and machine learning insights[cite: 25]. His core areas of expertise include Transformer architectures, Explainable AI (XAI), Agentic AI, and cybersecurity. Alongside his industry contributions, he actively continues his academic work and teaching as an Instructor at Istanbul Bilgi University.
