IEEE PES DAY 2026 — Energy Innovation Week | Electrónica de potencia como área con capacidad de innovación
As part of the IEEE PES Day 2026 and Energy Innovation Week celebrations, the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter at Universidad del Norte organized a specialized virtual webinar titled "Power Electronics as an Area with Innovation Capacity". The primary objective of this event was to explore how power electronics serves as the invisible engine behind major current technological advancements, transforming industries and opening new development frontiers.
During the session, the keynote speaker discussed the critical role of power electronics in modern engineering, its impact on renewable energy integration, and its potential to drive sustainable technological solutions. The event was held completely virtually via Google Meet, allowing students, professionals, and engineering enthusiasts to connect, share knowledge, and discuss the future trends of the discipline.
