Participation in Engineering Week: Introduction to Microelectronics, Challenges and Opportunities
This report highlights the participation of the coordinator of our IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Student Chapter in the Engineering Week event organized by UNIMETROCAMP.
The activity took place on May 6, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and featured a technical lecture entitled “Introduction to Microelectronics: Challenges and Opportunities.” The presentation introduced students to fundamental concepts in microelectronics, current technological challenges, emerging opportunities, and career perspectives in the semiconductor and electronic systems industries.
In addition to the technical content, the event served as an opportunity to promote IEEE culture and present the activities and mission of the IEEE MTT-S to the audience. The lecture highlighted opportunities for student engagement, professional development, technical collaboration, and participation in IEEE initiatives and activities.
This participation contributed to strengthening the visibility of the IEEE MTT-S Student Chapter, encouraging interaction with students from different institutions, and promoting interest in microelectronics and microwave engineering.
