Celebration of National Technology Day 2026
This is to inform you that the Publication Cell, St. Thomas' College of Engineering & Technology - Kolkata (STCET) and IEEE Student Branch STCET, in collaboration with IIC and NDLI Club (STCET) are pleased to celebrate "National Technology Day", by organizing a "Technical Report Writing Contest" in the month of May, 2025. Interested students can participate in the same. The steps of participation are as follows:
1. Fill out the attached Google form in the attached link, and submit by 14th May, 2026, 11:00 am. This step is mandatory for registration, failing which you will not be eligible for participation. Link : https://forms.gle/RG4hBUDQBMUozkFu6
2. A new link will be shared to the registered students, through which the students will have to submit their reports by May 26, 2026.
3. The Report structure is as follows:
* Title Page - Should contain Topic(from the given list), Title(student should give a proper title of the article), Name, Year, Class Roll Number, Department
* Abstract - Max 250 words, Font Style Times New Roman, Font size 10
* Introduction
* Main Content (With relevant subheadings)
* Conclusion
* References (IEEE format) -
Font Style Times New Roman, Font size 10
* For the body of the report:
o Word Limit - 1500-2000 words
o Font - Times New Roman, size 11
o Spacing - Single
o Figure/Table caption - Times New Roman, size 9 (Colored figures can be used)
IMPORTANT:
1. Each student needs to submit both PDF as well as word file of the report.
2. Any kind of plagiarism will attract immediate disqualification from the contest.
3. All accepted submissions will then be reviewed by the respective departmental committee for publishing in the respective departmental technical magazine. Among the selected submissions, the best three will be awarded from each department.
3. Students will receive MAR points only if their submission has been accepted for publishing in the technical magazine.
