I. Event Description

The "Women Who Inspire: IEEE WIE Meeting" talk serves as a strategic platform to highlight and analyze the impact of women within STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This space is designed to transcend the format of a conventional discussion, acting instead as a forum for the transfer of experience, where the career paths of leading women serve as a roadmap for the next generation of professionals.

The meeting is built upon three fundamental pillars:

• Leadership and Resilience: An in-depth analysis of the structural and personal challenges professionals face in technological environments, and the strategies employed to reach decision-making positions.

• Strengthening the WIE Community: The consolidation of the Women in Engineering (WIE) affinity group network within the IEEE, promoting a global ecosystem of collaboration and continuous mentorship.

• Technological Outlook: A technical and human perspective on how gender diversity within engineering teams drives innovation and the creation of more inclusive and equitable technological solutions.

This event not only celebrates individual achievements but also documents the collective progress of women in engineering, reaffirming the IEEE's commitment to technical excellence and professional equity.

II. Key Activities

• Registration and Networking: We’ll be welcoming attendees and any potential new members.

• Executive Panel Discussion: We’re having a moderated dialogue with some really prominent women leaders in STEM. The goal is to focus mainly on their career trajectories and how leadership roles have been evolving, besides how they’ve managed to overcome those systemic barriers that still exist in the industry.

• Strategic Mentorship Circle: This is a dedicated segment for knowledge transfer. It’s a space where experienced professionals are going to share some actionable advice on things like professional branding and technical certifications, and also how to navigate those complex decision-making environments.

• WIE Global Network Briefing: We’re going to give an update on all the latest initiatives, grants, and opportunities that the IEEE Women in Engineering affinity group is providing right now to foster more local and international collaboration among us.

• Interactive Q&A & Insight Exchange: This will be an open forum for allowing attendees to engage directly with the speakers. We want to discuss the specific challenges we face regarding workplace equity and what’s coming with the future of emerging technologies.

• Structured Networking Session: To finish, a coordinated space designed for establishing high-value professional connections. We want to encourage the formation of peer-support groups and, why not, some potential research or project partnerships for the future.
