IAS/IES Chicago Technical Meeting - IES RP-7-21: Lighting for Industrial Applications
Ryan Morgan of Dialight will provide a presentation on IES RP-7-21 Recommended Practice: Lighting Industrial Facilities.
The Dialight RCEP RP-7 course provides a guide to industrial lighting based on IES RP-7-21 standards, focusing on how quality illumination improves safety and reduces defects. The curriculum covers technical metrics like glare control and compares LED technology to traditional systems, with a strong emphasis on equipment durability in harsh or hazardous environments. Ultimately, the training prepares professionals to use engineering design checklists and practice targets to ensure safety and efficiency at complex worksites.

Ryan Morgan of Dialight
Biography:
Ryan Morgan has nearly 20-years experience in Lighting; spanning HID up through and especially LED. As a Product/Marketing Manager he designed and tested Luminaires to meet various certification standards. He is well versed in both commercial and hazardous certification testing.
He is a Member of IES, and former contributing member for Roadway and Underpass. He has been teaching CEU courses for over 10-years.
