Mentes Brillantes: TryEngineering STEM Volunteer Training for Workshops
This training program prepares volunteers to lead and support STEM workshops with students from the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica (TEC) and the Instituto Tecnológico de San Carlos in San Carlos. The initiative aims to equip volunteers with practical tools, teaching strategies, and hands-on methodologies to inspire students through interactive science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities.
In addition to volunteer training, the program includes rehearsal sessions for workshop activities, coordination exercises, and last-minute preparation of pending materials alongside the volunteer team to ensure successful workshop execution. Through collaborative learning and volunteer development, participants will strengthen their communication, leadership, teamwork, and workshop facilitation skills while promoting innovation, creativity, and STEM education within the community.
