Part 1: Keynote Talk

Title: Teaching, Research, Family, and Fun

Speaker: Prof. Milica Popović

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, McGill University

Prof. Popović’s keynote will reflect on the multifaceted nature of academic life at a research-intensive institution, highlighting the interplay between teaching, research, mentorship, and personal life. She will also share insights on achieving balance, maintaining motivation, and building a sustainable and fulfilling academic career. The talk will conclude with an overview of her research in biomedical applications of electromagnetics, including emerging techniques for early-stage breast cancer detection and diagnostic tools for skin tumors.

Part 2: 3-Minute Project Presentation Competition

Participants will have three minutes to present their research or project, focusing on clarity, impact, and engagement. The competition is open to all areas in engineering and computing.
