MILLSTONE NUCLEAR POWER STATION TOUR and PICNIC
This is a technical tour of the Millstone Nuclear Power Station, 314 Rope Ferry Road, Waterford, CT on Friday, June 19, 2:00 PM. Please drive down the access road (signs will say restricted area but continue) for about a mile until you reach the second traffic light. Turn right at the light and enter parking area. Park in any unmarked space. You will enter the building on the south end of the parking lot by the flagpole.
Attendees MUST supply their Social Security Numbers to Ted Busky before Friday, June 12 to allow Millstone to do a security check. In order to minimize exposure to your security number, please CALL Ted Busky at 860-208-2755 and give him your name and SS number and if you will attend the tour. Ted will communicate the social security numbers to Millstone for the security check.
There is a registration payment required for the event of $5.00.
Sturdy, closed toed, low heeled shoes are mandatory safety requirements.
We plan to visit the turbine building, tour the property and intake area. A tour of the control room will depend on the operator's availability.
There will be a picnic after for attendees and IEEE PELS CT members at 8 Cove Hill Road, Niantic, CT, 06357. This is 10 minutes from Millstone.
