CEDACT 1.0 (CEDA Annual Conference of Tunisia) is the inaugural one-day interdisciplinary engineering conference organized by IEEE ENIG Student Branch in collaboration with IEEE Computer Society ENIG Student Branch Chapter, to be held on August 09, 2026, at the City of Science, Tunis, Tunisia.
Theme: "1.21 Gigawatts — Where Physics, Intelligence, Energy, Design, and Motion Converge to Power the Future"
The theme "1.21 Gigawatts" is a real, measurable scientific quantity - one that sits at the boundary between the technically achievable and the seemingly impossible.
It carries a deliberate message: every major engineering breakthrough in history required an extraordinary convergence of knowledge, technology, and human effort to cross from the theoretical into the real.
CEDACT 1.0 brings together seven IEEE technical societies under this unified scientific vision:
- APS - The Source-: fundamental laws that make power possible
- EPS -The Engine-: generation, storage, and distribution of power at scale
- CS -The Brain-: AI, machine learning, and intelligent systems
- DES -The Body-: human-centered design bridging technology and people
- VTS - The Motion-: modern vehicles as convergence of all disciplines
- MTTS -The Signal-: RF, 5G, radar, and wireless infrastructure
- SSCS - The Core-: silicon chips and integrated circuit design
Program Highlights:

- an interdisciplinary panel discussion
- a poster and project exhibition
- parallel round table sessions
- a non-technical challenge open to all participating IEEE Student Branches.
CEDACT 1.0 is designed for engineering students, IEEE members, academic researchers, and industry professionals from Tunisia and the broader MENA region who are ready to think beyond their individual discipline and embrace the power of convergent engineering.
