Agenda

PHX Section Banquet (4/4):

  • Thank you to Eric, Krishna, and Visnu for attending - and to Eric for presenting.

  • Keynote discussed big growth in semiconductor sector in PHX.  No direct connection to EMBS, but potential for collaboration with EDS chapter.

Meet & Greet Event (4/9):

  • Thank you to Anil for coordinating the event, to Vishnu for an excellent presentation, and to all who attended.

  • ~ 15 in attendance - probably best to finalize & advertise with even more notice for future events - to increase attendance.

  • 2 attendees from Foam Packaging Specialties - suggested we consider joining MDM2 Consortium.  Eric to investigate.

  • Also discussed potential collaboration with AZ Tech Council - could have potentially been included in their "tech week" events.

ASU - IEEE-HKN Meeting (4/13):

  • Andy gave presentation on IC Design for Med Devices.  ~ 20 attendees + more online.  Excellent engagement from students.

  • Looking forward to more collaboration with this group.

  • Presentation is attached here for any interested.

NCSU - ASSIST/ICONS (4/16):

  • Andy gave Webinar presentation on IC design for Med Devices.  > 20 attendees online.

  • Planning for another webinar in Fall semester.

Senior Membership:

  • Christian V. Completed application & needs Member ID from 3 Senior references.  Andy & Eric committed so far, so 1 more to go.

  • References will receive request fro IEEE to complete a form regarding applicant's qualifications.

Officer Changes:

  • Eric to replace Andy as Chair

  • Anil or Negin to replace Eric as Vice-Chair - pending Negin's interest.

  • Subsequent vacancy to be filled next.

  • Andy to stay involved - just likely not as an officer.

VTools:

  • Andy to update Officer designations & send Eric link to make subsequent changes.

  • @Negin Behzadian - please log the Banquet, Meet & Greet, HKN, and NCSU events.

Team Meetings:

  • We will keep the current series as scheduled for now.  Once Eric is up & running, he will send a new series & I will cancel the remaining meetings in my series.
