The IEEE Italy Section Biometrics Council Chapter has launched a call for PhD Award 2026, in recognition of the best PhD Thesis discussed at an Italian University in the field of Biometric Recognition.

For the 2026 award, the Committee has considered PhD Theses defended in the period from January 2025 to the deadline of the call, set at October 2nd, 2026.

The award will consist of a diploma and a monetary prize of € 500 for the author of the best Thesis.
