Driving Global Trade Success with ERP-Enabled Inter-Company Operations
Abstract
Many multinational organizations incur higher corporate tax expenses than necessary, not because of ineffective tax strategies, but because of inefficient ERP intercompany operating models. This presentation explores how companies can leverage ERP-enabled inter-company processes and strategically structured group company codes within free trade zones to optimize profit allocation across legal entities, thereby reducing local tax exposure without affecting customer pricing.
Drawing from research published in the International Journal of Computer Applications (IJCA, Vol. 186, No. 52, 2024), the session presents an end-to-end framework for global trade optimization. Topics include cross-company consignment procurement, stock ownership transfers, carrier determination, inter-company billing, and financial settlement processes. Attendees will gain insight into the underlying SAP ERP architecture, process flows, and practical implementation considerations that support efficient and compliant international operations.
