This three-day hands-on workshop introduces participants to modern Smart Grid technologies, communication systems, monitoring, control, and practical power system applications using the Lucas-Nülle Smart Grid Training System.

Topics include:

• Smart Grid Architecture and Components
• Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
• SCADA Systems and Real-Time Monitoring
• Smart Grid Communication Technologies
• IEC 61850 Concepts and Applications
• Renewable Energy Integration
• Microgrids and Distributed Energy Resources
• Practical Laboratory Exercises and Demonstrations

The workshop is designed for students, faculty members, alumni, and industry professionals interested in modern electric power systems and smart grid technologies.

Location: Controls Laboratory (Room 215), Prairie View A&M University

Participation is limited to 15 attendees due to laboratory capacity and the hands-on nature of the training.
