MIL-STD 461H Update
Hot off the press, MIL-STD 461H has recently been released. This presentation provides an overview of the changes to the standard and the impact to test labs and vendor requiring compliance to the new standard.

Biography:
Mark received his Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) in 1989 from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Mark was offered a cadetship/scholarship with the Department of Defence and was employed at the Engineering Development Establishment (EDE), now the Land Engineering Agency, CASG. He joined the EMC section in 1990 and eventually became the head of their EMC laboratories.
During his time at EDE he was posted to the UK working at laboratories such as the UK Army School of Signals, TUV Product Services and the Motor Industry and Research Association.
In 2001 he became the Melbourne Manager of EMC Technologies, a position he held for 10 years. He subsequently joined Nova Systems as a leading consultant where he worked on several Defence projects as well several commercial ventures such as the Square Kilometre Array Project.
In 2012 Mark became a Chartered engineer subsequently a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia in 2013 and an Eng Exec in 2015. In 2020 he was offered a position at Boeing Defence Australia as the BDA EMC Focal and Capability lead and has since become a Boeing Designated Expert and Associate Technical Fellow.
Mark is the current chair of IEEE Vic Section chapter of the EMC Society and EA EMC Society. Mark was also the chair of the APEMC International Steering Committee from 2020-2022.
Mark is also a Senior Member of the IEEE EMC Society and current member of the Board of Directors.
