Aerospace Discovery Day 2.0
Aerospace Discovery Day 2.0, themed “Beyond Orbit,” is a national aerospace and satellite technology event that will be held on July 19, 2026, at the CRNS in Sfax, Tunisia. Organized jointly by the IEEE AESS ENIS Student Branch Chapter, the IEEE AESS FSS Student Branch Chapter, and the IEEE AESS Tunisia Section, the event aims to inspire and empower the next generation of aerospace innovators by providing a comprehensive understanding of satellite systems and space technologies.
The event is designed to cultivate a system-level engineering mindset, guiding participants from the fundamentals of individual satellite subsystems to the challenges of complete system integration. Through a carefully structured technical program, attendees will explore key areas such as systems and structural engineering, satellite attitude and control systems (ACS/ADCS), and spaceborne communication and sensing technologies.
Aerospace Discovery Day 2.0 will feature a full day of engaging activities, including expert-led panel discussions on the future of aerospace in Tunisia, hands-on technical workshops covering CubeSat software, orbital control, structures, and communication systems, as well as interactive demonstrations and project showcases. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with industry experts, researchers, and local aerospace organizations, including the Tunisian Space Association and Climate Innov.The event is expected to welcome 100–150 on-site participants, including engineering students, researchers, and young professionals, while also reaching a wider audience across Tunisia through a nationwide livestream. By combining technical learning, industry engagement, and practical exposure, Aerospace Discovery Day 2.0 seeks to strengthen Tunisia’s aerospace ecosystem and inspire future contributions to the space sector.
