Paunwala Professor, Head of Department at SCET Surat, IEEE Senior Member, and recipient of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Regional Meritorious Service Award for an exclusive virtual session on "Writing an Efficient Research Paper." With over 23 years of academic experience and more than 60 published research works spanning Image Processing, Deep Learning, and Medical Signal Processing, Prof. Paunwala brings a wealth of practical insight that goes far beyond the classroom. Whether you are working on your final year project, preparing your first journal submission, or simply looking to understand what makes a research paper worth reading, this session will give you the tools, structure, and confidence to write with purpose. Join us on Tuesday, 23rd June 2025 from 3:30 to 4:30 PM EAT via Google Meet for what promises to be one of the most practically valuable sessions of the year.
Biography:
Prof. (Dr.) Chirag N. Paunwala is a Professor and Head of the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department at Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology (SCET), Surat, India, with over 23 years of academic and research experience. His research spans Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Deep Learning, and Medical Signal Processing, with over 60 publications in reputed journals, conferences, and book chapters. He is the first recipient of the Regional Meritorious Service Award by the IEEE Signal Processing Society, USA (2017), and a Senior Member of IEEE.
