Washington and Northern Virginia Section Finance Training

Chapter, Affinity Group (AG) and Student Branch (SB) officers in the Washington and Northern Virginia (NOVA) Section are invited to attend a financial training workshop. Following the training, dinner will be hosted by the Sections at a local restaurant.

The training will focus on the following topics:

Overview of IEEE MGA and Section Finances
Funding availability for Chapters, AGs and SBs
Financial Compliance requirements, especially for Operational Units (OU) that have an IEEE Bank Account
Procedures for reimbursement of expenses incurred by Volunteers
Hosting Events
Officer Volunteer Opportunities with Washington and NOVA Sections

For the Washington Section, any OU that has an IEEE bank account is required to have either the Chair or Treasurer attend. Preferably both. If one of these positions is open, you are encouraged to have any potential volunteer for the position attend.

Any Section member who is interested in volunteering as an OU officer is encouraged to attend to meet with the Section Officers including the Section Chapter Coordinator.
