As synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology advances rapidly, breakthroughs across the entire chain from fundamental imaging to interferometric SAR (InSAR) analysis are profoundly shaping key fields such as Earth observation, disaster monitoring, and resource exploration. In particular, the evolution of the two generations of ALOS satellites offers an exceptional case study for understanding the relationships between SAR system design, signal processing, and interferometric phase quality.
We are pleased to invite Dr. NATSUAKI Ryo (夏秋嶺), Associate Professor at The University of Tokyo and IEEE GRSS Associate Distinguished Lecturer, to deliver this distinguished lecture, hosted by Prof. Yu Hanwen, IEEE Fellow, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Focusing on the two generations of ALOS SAR satellites, the talk will cover signal processing to InSAR analysis, and share cutting-edge insights from his hands-on experience with the ALOS-2 and ALOS-4 missions.
