IEEE KW PES Chapter Industrial Visit
The IEEE Kitchener-Waterloo Section Power & Energy Society (PES) Chapter is organizing a one-day industrial visit to the Hydro One Integrated System Operating Centre (ISOC) on July 3rd, aimed at PES members and graduate student members. This visit will provides opportunity for students to gain firsthand exposure to the operation of Ontario's electricity transmission system. The visit helps introduce the next generation of power system professionals to the Canadian power grid while providing an opportunity to interact with industry experts and understand the real-time monitoring, control, and coordination of one of the most critical components of Ontario's electricity infrastructure. The event is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications, offering attendees exposure to advanced technologies, industry practices, and interactions with professionals in the power sector.
