Large language models are no longer isolated research artifacts — they are production components embedded in enterprise systems as copilots, retrieval-augmented search engines, and autonomous agents that call APIs, write code, and act on live data. Mike Bishop is Vice President of Enterprise Architecture at Vizient, Inc., where he leads large-scale AI strategy and technology modernization for one of the nation's largest healthcare performance improvement companies. With more than 20 years of experience spanning enterprise architecture, generative AI, and platform engineering across healthcare, travel, transportation, and financial services, he has led major technology engagements at IBM and Kyndryl and holds the distinction of Sabre Fellow. Mike is an active member of the IEEE Fort Worth Computer Society and the ACM, and is a frequent contributor to practitioner communities at the intersection of AI strategy and applied security. He holds a deep interest in translating emerging frameworks — including OWASP, NIST AI RMF, and MITRE ATLAS — into engineering practice that teams can act on immediately.
