One Day Conclave on “Photonic Quantum Information Technology”
The Department of ECE at Sri Sairam Engineering College, in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch and the IEEE Photonics, CEDA, and ITS Bangalore Chapters, organized a One Day Conclave on “Photonic Quantum Information Technology” on April 11, 2026. The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by welcome and presidential addresses from HoD Dr. A. Poonguzhali and Principal Dr. B. Shadaksharappa, who emphasized the value of industry-bridging, research-oriented learning.
During the technical sessions, Dr. T. Srinivas explored photonic devices and quantum technology advancements, while Mr. Prajwal N outlined career opportunities and industry demands in the field. Following a lunch break, the program shifted to practical applications, with Dr. Srikanth R addressing real-world challenges in quantum cryptography, and Mr. Karthiganesh Durai conducting hands-on training in quantum circuits and Quantum Machine Learning (QML). The conclave, which successfully bridged theoretical concepts and practical tools for students and faculty, concluded with a formal felicitation of the speakers and a Vote of Thanks.
