Competition Overview: PixelSite – Web Design Competition

Organizer: IEEE Student Branch – Isra University (IEEE IU)

Overview: PixelSite is a comprehensive web design and development competition designed to empower Jordanian university students to transform creative ideas into integrated technical projects.

Competition Phases

  • Phase 1: Idea & UI/UX Design: Participants define their project idea, design UI/UX using Figma, and prepare a documentation report. Teams must adapt to changing requirements to simulate real-world work environments.

  • Phase 2: Development Phase: Qualified teams build functional websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Firebase (Backend). Ongoing updates and new requirements continue to challenge adaptability.

  • Final Phase: Final Showcase: The top 10 teams present their projects, covering design processes, technical solutions, and innovation, before a specialized judging panel.

Workshops & Learning Experience

PixelSite includes professional training to ensure high-quality project execution:

  • Web Fundamentals: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for responsive design.

  • Backend Development: Utilizing Firebase for databases and hosting.

  • Technical Documentation: Professional reporting and system analysis.

Competition Objectives

  • Enhance web development and UI/UX design skills.
