The webinar “HVDC Substation Equipment” was held online on July 21, 2026, as part of the IEEE PES Brazil Spotlight Series. The session was presented by Camila Maciel, HVDC Equipment Engineer at State Grid.

During the event, the speaker introduced the main technologies and equipment used in High-Voltage Direct Current substations. The presentation addressed converter transformers, converter valves, smoothing reactors, harmonic filters, cooling systems, protection, control, and monitoring systems.
