The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SMVITM, in association with the IEEE CEDA Bangalore Chapter, is organizing a three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "AI-Driven Electronic Design Automation and VLSI System Design: Theory to Practice."

The FDP is designed to provide participants with comprehensive exposure to modern Electronic Design Automation (EDA) methodologies, AI-assisted chip design techniques, and the complete open-source VLSI design flow—from RTL design to GDSII generation. The program combines expert lectures with hands-on laboratory sessions using industry-relevant open-source EDA tools.

Participants will gain practical knowledge in digital IC design, physical design, hardware security, trusted IC design, and emerging AI applications in semiconductor design automation. The program also aims to foster collaboration between academia, industry, and the IEEE CEDA community.
