“Retrospectives of an Instrument Lady + Oil in Water 2026"
Topic: Retrospectives of an Instrument Lady + Oil in Water 2026
Detecting oil in water is important for process and environmental concerns. This presentation is an update of one originally given to ISA BR in 2005. Karen gave her first presentation to IEEE BR in 2017. The second half of her presentation is a "best of" from those presentations over the years.
Biography:
Karen has worked as an engineer with process safety and control systems projects in South Louisiana's petrochemical industry since 1995. She is a licensed professional engineer in Louisiana, Texas, New Jersey, and Alabama. Karen works at Hargrove Controls + Automation in Baton Rouge as a C+A SIS Technical Consultant, where she concentrates on process safety and burner management system projects. Karen is a member of ISA. Her hobbies include running, photography, jewelry making, writing, and science fiction.
