Biography:
Dr. Tim Swift is the Founder and CEO of Roam Robotics, a silicon-valley based robotics company developing lightweight, low-cost wearable robotic systems to restore and expand human mobility. Dr. Swift holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley, where he helped lay the technical foundations for modern wearable robotics. As an early employee at Ekso Bionics, he served on the original three-person engineering team that invented the Ekso rigid medical exoskeleton. Driven to make assistive robotics accessible and practical for everyday life, he founded Roam Robotics in 2013 to pioneer high-strength, fabric-based pneumatic exoskeletons.

A seasoned product leader, Assaf's career is driven by a passion for creating innovative user experiences using cutting-edge technology, creative problem-solving, and business insight. With extensive experience in both hardware and software product development, Assaf has led teams from ideation to market, emphasizing meaningful technology. He uses storytelling to connect technology with people, highlighting the interplay between user experience, innovation, and consumer brands. Assaf has a history of pioneering new user experiences. Currently at Intuition Robotics, Assaf spearheads initiatives in product strategy, consumer marketing, and strategic partnerships, driving the company's vision forward. At N-trig, he introduced digital writing technologies that led to its acquisition by Microsoft for the Surface portfolio. At PointGrab, he integrated computer vision solutions into devices by Samsung, TCL, and Lenovo. Prior to Intuition Robotics, he led marketing and strategic partnerships at Audioburst and mentors startups at Techstars Barclays Accelerator in Tel Aviv. He also held leadership roles at Powermat Technologies, modu Mobile, and Telmap Ltd (acquired by Intel). Assaf holds a BSc. in Computer Science from Reichman University (The Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya).
