Senior Member Elevation

Biography:

Dr. Zhensheng Zhang, IEEE Fellow, received his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. He has over thirty years’ experience in design and analysis of network architecture, protocols and control algorithms, of the communication (wired and wireless) networks. He has worked at Boeing, Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, and Columbia University, respectively, focusing on research and development in wireless networks. He was IEEE Comsoc distinguished lecturer; the IEEE LATINCOM Keynote Speaker (2013) and gave many tutorials in IEEE conferences; received the IEEE region 6/Area Outstanding Engineer award in 2013, being recognized by the IEEE member-recruitment and recovery committee for outstanding achievement in member recruitment for San Diego Section in 2019 and 2021. He was on the IEEE Admission and Advancement Committee, representing region 6, focusing on senior membership (2022-2025)  and also on the IEEE Fellow Committee (2025-2026).
