Dr Vanita Kamra

The talk inspired students and young researchers to explore entrepreneurship, leadership, and volunteering as pathways to turn ideas into impactful technologies and opportunities.

Biography:

Dr. Vanita Arora is a researcher, innovator, and technology entrepreneur working in Infrared Thermography and Thermal Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). She holds a Ph.D. from IIT Ropar and has worked extensively on advanced thermal-wave imaging, signal processing, and data-analysis techniques for detecting hidden defects and improving non-destructive inspection.

She is the Founder and Director of InfraRed Vision & Automation Pvt. Ltd., where she focuses on transforming research ideas into practical technologies and industrial solutions. Her journey from research to innovation and entrepreneurship inspires young researchers to identify real- world challenges, develop innovative solutions, and transform knowledge into impactful technologies.

Ms Shruti Kuhar

The session will focus on practical strategies for students and young professionals to build a strong profile beyond academics. I will share insights on how to leverage IEEE for leadership, networking, and professional growth, use AI effectively for learning and career development, identify and apply for relevant awards and scholarships, and strategically build a portfolio that creates opportunities for further education, leadership, and career growth.

Biography:

Shruti Kuhar is the Chair of the IEEE Victorian Section Young Professionals Affinity Group and an active IEEE volunteer with 5 years of experience across leadership, professional development, technology and youth-focused initiatives. She has held multiple leadership and coordination roles within IEEE and has been actively involved in organising technical events, leadership programs, professional development initiatives and community-building activities. Her interests span artificial intelligence, data science, technology, research, leadership and youth development. She is passionate about empowering young people to build strong professional profiles through meaningful projects, leadership opportunities, professional networks, awards, scholarships and effective use of AI.
