WIE Integration Activity at RNRYP / ARGENCON2026 — Córdoba
The National Student Branches and Young Professionals Meeting (RNRYP) is the annual national gathering of IEEE Student Branches and Young Professionals across Argentina, organized by the IEEE Argentina Section. Each year it rotates to a different host city — past editions were held in San Nicolás de los Arroyos and San Luis — and the 2026 edition will take place in Córdoba, hosted at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC). The program combines technical and soft-skills training (leadership, public speaking, teamwork, event planning), networking, and cultural exchange among students, Young Professionals, and volunteer leaders from across the country.
IEEE ARGENCON, the Argentina Section's premier biennial technical congress, will be held November 11–13, 2026, at the same host institution (UNC). The overlap of the two events brings together the national student/YP community and a broader technical conference audience on the same campus, offering unusually wide reach for an activity held during that window.
The Activity is an icebreaker-style integration activity aimed at RNRYP and ARGENCON2026 attendees. Participants will be divided into small groups to solve collaborative riddles and puzzles, encouraging interaction between attendees of both conferences who would not normally cross paths.
The activity will incorporate Riko-chan material (the mascot of the WIE Manga Story Contest) to raise visibility of the contest among a technical audience that may not be familiar with it, connecting one of WIE's cultural/creative outreach initiatives with an engineering audience. Winning groups will receive recognition in the form WIE merchandise.
This directly aligns with WIE's mission to connect, support, and inspire women in STEM, increasing the visibility of WIE and its programs (including the Manga Contest) among a large and diverse audience at a national-scale technical event.
