Day 2: Internal SIH 2026 – Final Evaluation & Conclusion

The second day of the Internal Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 successfully concluded the institute-level evaluation process with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
Across the three phases of the Internal SIH, the event achieved remarkable participation:
- 169 teams registered, representing more than 1,000 students.
- 138 teams were shortlisted after the initial idea screening.
- 123 teams, comprising 738 students, presented and defended their innovative ideas during the two-day evaluation process conducted on 26 and 27 August 2026.
The final evaluation involved detailed technical discussions by more than 30 faculty jury members representing various engineering disciplines. The evaluators assessed each project based on innovation, technical feasibility, societal impact, scalability, and presentation quality while providing valuable suggestions for improvement before national-level submission.
The organizing committee expresses sincere gratitude to all jury members for their dedication and insightful evaluations. Special thanks are also extended to Dr. Vijit Srivastava (ECE) and Mr. Mani Mahesh (Civil) for coordinating departmental evaluations and ensuring effective participation from their respective departments.
The event was efficiently supported by enthusiastic third-year student volunteers, who managed registrations, participant coordination, time management, and venue logistics, contributing significantly to the smooth execution of the programme.
The Internal Smart India Hackathon 2026 concluded successfully with active participation, technical excellence, and a strong spirit of innovation. The shortlisted teams recommended by the expert panels will be nominated for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 National Level through the official SIH portal. The event reaffirmed UCER's commitment to promoting innovation, problem-solving, and experiential learning among students while encouraging them to develop technology-driven solutions for real-world societal challenges.
