Climate Action Awareness Program was organized by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Sri Sairam College of Engineering, Anekal, as a school outreach initiative under the IEEE STEM Program. The program was conducted on 18 August 2026 at Government Girls High School (Old Middle), Anekal, for students of Classes 5 to 7, with around 80 students participating. The theme of the program was “The Greenhouse Effect and Greenhouse Gases – Understanding the Science Behind Global Warming.” The program aimed to create awareness about climate change, renewable energy, greenhouse gases, and sustainable practices through interactive and hands-on STEM learning. The activities included demonstrations of a Solar Car, Blowing Windmill, Automatic Street Light Controller, and Effect of Smoke on Lungs, along with interactive activities on Weather vs. Climate and Natural vs. Man-made Sources of Greenhouse Gas Emissions. The program helped students understand climate action and explore simple technological solutions for a sustainable future.
