IEEE Day 2026: Technology for a Better Tomorrow – Vancouver Section Celebration
Join the IEEE Vancouver Section for our IEEE Day 2026 celebration, an evening bringing together our local IEEE community to connect, recognize volunteer contributions, celebrate IEEE’s impact, and explore how technology can help shape a better tomorrow.
A featured part of the evening will be the panel discussion:
Technology in Practice: Engineering Careers, Innovation, and Real-World Impact
How does technology move from an idea to something that creates real-world impact, and what does it take to build a successful career along the way?
This panel will bring together professionals with perspectives spanning engineering and industry, entrepreneurship, investment, commercialization, and talent acquisition. Through an informal and practical discussion, panelists will share insights on how technologies move into real-world applications, how engineering careers are evolving, what employers and industry leaders are looking for, and the skills professionals need to navigate a rapidly changing technology landscape.
The evening will also include networking, recognition of IEEE volunteers and community contributions, professional and technical engagement, and opportunities to connect with IEEE members across different career stages.
Students, Young Professionals, senior members, Life Members, Fellows, volunteers, industry professionals, and guests are all welcome.
The event is free for all attendees.

Medtech strategist with 15 years of experience helping scale-ups and pharmaceutical companies bring medical devices to market, including at Procter & Gamble Singapore, Novadaq (now Stryker Endoscopy), and LivaNova. Founded Qaralogic in 2019 to support Canadian medtech companies through regulatory pathways and commercialization. Former chair of the Vancouver chapter of RAPS and the MedTech Committee at TOPRA, before founding Western MedTech to bring together the region's medtech ecosystem.
