Internal Hackathon 2026 is an innovation-focused event organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Computer Science & Applications in association with the IEEE Student Branch, Oriental University, Indore, as part of the institute's preparations for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026.

The hackathon provides students with a platform to identify real-world challenges and develop innovative software and hardware-based solutions. Participants will work collaboratively in teams to analyze problem statements, design solutions, develop prototypes, and present their ideas before an evaluation panel.

The event aims to promote innovation, problem-solving, teamwork, technical skills, and practical application of engineering knowledge. Students will have the opportunity to work on challenging problem statements inspired by real-world requirements while gaining valuable experience in ideation, development, and solution presentation.

Conducted in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch, the Internal Hackathon will also serve as an important platform for identifying and encouraging promising student teams for participation in the Smart India Hackathon 2026. The event encourages students to transform ideas into practical solutions and develop an innovation-oriented approach to solving societal and technological challenges.

The hackathon will feature both Software and Hardware categories, providing students from diverse technical backgrounds an opportunity to contribute their skills and build meaningful solutions.
