Biography:

Dr. Devki Nandan Jha is a Lecturer in Computing (Assistant Professor) for Teaching & Research at School of Computing, Newcastle University, UK. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oxford.

He was a postdoctoral reserach associate jointly with the Oxford e-Research Centre, University of Oxford and CyberHive Ltd. under the supervision of Prof. David Wallom, and Mr. David Blundell. He worked on Trusted Public Cloud project where his main aim to design and develop a trusted environment for user specific applications executing in public cloud environment using Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and Software Guard Extension (SGX).

He received his PhD in 2021 from School of Computing, Newcastle University, UK under the supervision of Prof. Rajiv Ranjan, Prof. Paul Watson and Dr. Xiaoli Li (external from I2R A* STAR, Singapore). His PhD research focuses on Innovative approach for the deployment of microservices in cloud-edge environments.

His research interests include Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Trust & Security and Machine Learning. He was also involved in design and developement of multiple IoT simulators.
- He completed his Masters of Technology (MTech) from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2015 where he was advised by Prof. Deo Prakash Vidyarthi. His dissertation is about Security prioritized resource provisioning in Cloud Computing.
