Alpine IEEE Day 2026 - Energies for the Future

IEEE Switzerland Life Members invite you to join for a unique opportunity to visit Energypolis in Sion, where EPFL, HES-SO, the Ark foundation and startups develop the energy technologies for the future. To close the day you will enjoy the life style of Valais while networking with other IEEE members.

On Saturday, at the Grande Dixence dam, you will learn how the investment of the 1950’s continues to evolve to provide more electricity to Switzerland.

On the practical aspects:

You can select if you want to attend the two days or a part of the event
On Friday, we will start at 10:45 to give enough time to travel from most Swiss cities
We will organize meals, accommodation in Sion and transfer to Grande Dixence
IEEE will have a fixed budget to cover expenses.
With more participants we might ask you to cover some meal expenses.
You will have to cover the expenses of the transport to Sion, accommodation and Friday dinner
The event terminates on Saturday at 16:00 at Sion train station
It is an opportunity to stay longer in Valais !
We can make suggestions in line with your interests.
