Cyber Crime Awareness is an awareness programme organized by the SFGC IEEE Student Branch in association with SFGC Police Marshals at Seshadripuram First Grade College, Bengaluru.

The programme aims to create awareness among students and participants about the growing threat of cybercrime and the importance of responsible digital behaviour. The sessions focus on helping participants recognize common cyber threats, protect their digital identity, identify online scams and understand safe practices while using digital platforms.

The programme covers important areas including cyber fraud, online scams, identity theft, financial fraud and social media risks. Participants will be introduced to practical methods for identifying suspicious online activities, protecting personal information, maintaining secure digital accounts and responding appropriately to potential cyber incidents.

The programme also emphasizes responsible online behaviour and awareness of relevant legal provisions and reporting mechanisms. Through interactive awareness sessions and practical examples, participants will be encouraged to Think, Verify and Stay Safe while using digital technologies.

The initiative seeks to promote responsible digital citizenship and equip participants with the awareness required to make safer decisions in an increasingly connected digital environment.
