The IEEE Communications Society Student Branch Chapter (SBC11519A), HBTU Kanpur, is organizing a "LTspice Workshop" for the session 2025–26.

This workshop is designed to take participants through the complete journey of schematic entry — circuit implementation — Transient and AC Analysis — Output verification —- Project Building — Hardware implementation  and understanding the core of electronics design. Participants will gain practical exposure by designing and simulating their own circuits in LTspice software .
No prior experience is required for this event.

What participants  will learn:
Schematic entry and basic interface navigation
Implementing various analog and digital circuits
Analyzing Transient and AC responses
Debugging and verifying circuit behavior before hardware fabrication

Agenda

• ​The workshop will commence with a brief welcome and introduction, outlining the objectives of the Hands-on LTspice Simulation Workshop and its significance in practical electronics, analog systems, and VLSI design.
• ​An introductory session will be conducted to familiarize participants with the fundamentals of circuit simulation, including its role in modern electronic systems and advantages over conventional prototyping methods such as breadboards.
• ​Participants will be introduced to the complete LTspice environment, covering installation, platform interface walkthrough, schematic entry, component selection, and handout distribution.
• ​​A detailed hands-on session on core circuit analysis will be provided, where participants will perform DC operating point analysis and transient response studies on RC circuits to calculate time constants.
• ​In the subsequent session, participants will learn AC circuit modeling and component evaluation, including sine wave input simulation, clipper circuits, diode IV characteristics, and BJT amplifier design.
• ​An overview of frequency response and filtering techniques will be provided, enabling participants to analyze Low-Pass and High-Pass filters, generate Bode plots, and determine 3dB cutoff frequencies.
• The workshop will further cover advanced SPICE directives, guiding participants through parameter variations using .PARAM, .STEP.
• ​A dedicated project implementation session will be provided, enabling participants to build and simulate cross-domain applications, including a Digital Counter, a 5V DC Regulated
Power Supply. 
• The Participants will observe and implement a hardware project on a zero PCB to gain hands-on experience transitioning from software simulation to physical hardware designing. 
• ​Throughout the workshop, emphasis will be placed on hands-on learning, practical implementation, and understanding real-world hardware development practices.
• ​The workshop will conclude with an interactive discussion and query resolution session, allowing participants to clarify doubts related to LTspice simulations, circuit modeling, and tools used during the workshop.
• ​Finally, the session will end with a summary of key takeaways, feedback collection, and instructions for further learning, including ideas for self-projects and application of circuit design concepts.
