Biography:

Barry Tilton is the Technical Lead and Chief Engineer for a key program supporting a major US Federal Agency. In that role he is working to coordinate intra-and interagency Digital Engineering efforts for elements of the US Government. Model Based Systems Engineering, Digital Twins and related solutions are all in the framework he is coordinating.
He has over 40 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer in the aerospace field and is both a Licensed P.E. and Certified Project Management Professional. He is a 20-year veteran of the US Air Force, where he had over 1000 flight hours as a test director, and worked as Chief Engineer, Chief Scientist, and Program Director for the US Defense and State Departments as well as several international efforts with countries on five Continents.
Barry earned his BSEE from USC and his MSEE from Northrop. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Eta Kappa Nu and the AIAA, a life member of the USGIF and a Fellow of the American Geographical Society. He is a Past Director of IEEE Region 2. In addition to his role with IEEE-USA, he is the Vice President of Industry Relations for the IEEE-AESS, and a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society
