Abstract

AI agents are rapidly becoming a foundational component of modern artificial intelligence applications. Join us for a highly practical, instructor-led workshop on building AI agents, presented in partnership with MongoDB.

In this hands-on session, attendees will explore core concepts such as reasoning, tool utilization, and memory, alongside various agent architectures. Participants will build a functional, AI-powered technical documentation assistant. This agent will utilize MongoDB as its memory and knowledge store, rely on a supported Large Language Model (such as Claude, Gemini, or GPT), and leverage LangGraph to orchestrate the end-to-end workflow.

Note: Complimentary catering (including vegetarian options) will be provided during the initial networking session so attendees are fueled up for the technical content.

What You Will Learn

• Foundational Concepts: Understand AI agent orchestration, reasoning, tools, and memory.

• Architecture Patterns: Explore common use cases alongside diverse agent architecture patterns.

• Practical Application: Build an AI-powered documentation assistant using LangGraph and MongoDB.

• Database Integration: Effectively utilize MongoDB as a vector store, knowledge base, and memory provider for agentic applications.

Prerequisites & Requirements

• Hardware: A personal laptop is strictly required for the hands-on exercises (Wi-Fi will be provided at the venue).

• Environment Access: Participants must be able to access Instruqt and a browser-based workshop environment.

• Experience: Basic familiarity with Python and Jupyter Notebooks is highly recommended, though not strictly required.
