Rocket Fuselage Manufacturing and Surface Finishing Optimization Project - AESS Project N 01
Join AESS UFJF for a hands-on manufacturing initiative focused on advancing our rocketry program. This activity centers on the acquisition and use of specialized tooling for the fabrication and finishing stages of rocket fuselage modules, precision equipment that enables us to apply advanced surface treatment techniques aimed at reducing skin friction drag and improving structural integrity.
The team will test different finishing processes across composite and metallic fuselage components, comparing results to optimize aerodynamic performance and build quality. This work bridges our aerodynamics and propulsion research with real hardware production, translating design work into flight-ready prototypes built to aerospace testing standards.
This initiative supports AESS's mission of promoting excellence in aerospace engineering and systems integration, and strengthens the manufacturing foundation behind our ongoing rocketry development.
