Biography:

Arun is a Principal Software Engineer at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with 11+ years of experience designing and operating hyperscale cloud infrastructure, distributed provisioning systems, and hardware–software platforms.

He focuses on bringing GPU, SmartNIC, HPC, and Exadata systems into production reliably. He has designed Root-of-Trust–based SmartNIC lifecycle workflows, led fleet-wide reliability and capacity-recovery initiatives, and delivered secure infrastructure releases across globally distributed environments. This work has reduced firmware update latency by 90%, recovered approximately 230,000 compute cores, and generated millions of dollars in infrastructure savings.

His expertise includes distributed systems, infrastructure automation, secure provisioning, fleet reliability, hardware lifecycle management, and failure isolation at scale. Outside my engineering role, he contributes as a technical author, conference and artifact reviewer, hackathon judge, book reviewer, and mentor.
