The IEEE ITSS France Chapter and Université Gustave Eiffel are pleased to welcome Prof. Junmin Wang, IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society Distinguished Lecturer, from The University of Texas at Austin, for a two-day PhD School on 5 and 6 October 2026.

Title: Intelligent Mobility Systems: Safety, Efficiency, Personalization, and Harmonization

Dates and venue

The PhD School will be delivered in English and will cover the following topics:

• Evolving Frontiers in Vehicle Motion Control and Autonomy

• Vehicle Automation for Human Trust and Acceptance

• Ground Vehicle Efficiency and Safety Enhancement through Learning and Personalized Automation

The training is intended for doctoral students working in transportation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, control, optimisation, applied mathematics, computer science, electrical and mechanical engineering, and related fields.

Registration

Doctoral students wishing to attend the PhD School must register through ADUM under the title Intelligent Mobility Systems: Safety, Efficiency, Personalization, and Harmonization. The registration deadline is 28 September 2026.

This seminar will be held in a hybrid format and will be open to researchers, students, academics, industry professionals, and practitioners. No registration is required for this seminar.

 

We warmly encourage doctoral students and colleagues interested in intelligent mobility, vehicle automation, and transportation systems to participate.

Prof. Wang will also give a separate France ITSS Talk at VEDECOM on Wednesday, 7 October 2026. Further information about this event will be announced soon.
