General Assembly - Grenoble IEEE Student Branch
Our IEEE Student Branch is holding its General Assembly, and this year it's bigger than ever ! We're opening up several board positions, and we're looking for ambitious, driven students, especially our master’s and PhD community, to step up and help lead the branch into its next chapter.
Why is this a golden opportunity for you:
- Leadership experience that counts: Managing a board role means real responsibility: budgets, events, partnerships, teams. It's the kind of experience that stands out on a CV or in a PhD/postdoc interview.
- Build your network: Work directly with faculty advisors, industry partners, and IEEE's global network — connections that often outlast your time on campus.
- Make an actual impact: As a grad student, you've got the technical depth and maturity to shape workshops, talks, and initiatives that benefit hundreds of students. This is your chance to build something you wish existed when you started.
- It looks great, and it's genuinely fun: Great people, real projects, and a chance to leave your mark on the branch's legacy.
What will happen at the assembly:
- A quick recap of the branch's activities and achievements
- Presentation of open board positions and what each role involves
- Open floor for candidates to introduce themselves (or just come to observe and ask questions!)
- Voting and results
Curious but not sure if it's for you?
You don't need prior board experience, just enthusiasm, some free time, and ideas you want to bring to life. Whether you're passionate about organizing technical workshops, industry connections, outreach, or just want to give back to the scientific community of Grenoble, there's a role for you.
