AeroXplore: RC Plane Competition
AeroXplore 2027 | Design • Build • Compete • Fly
AeroXplore: RC Plane Competition is the competitive phase of AeroXplore, an aerospace-focused initiative organized by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Student Chapter of the University of Ruhuna.
Following the AeroXplore RC Plane Workshop, the competition will provide participants with an opportunity to apply their knowledge of RC aircraft design, construction, aerodynamics, flight control, teamwork, and practical engineering in a competitive environment.
Participating teams will design, construct, prepare, and operate their RC aircraft while demonstrating engineering accuracy, teamwork, problem-solving, and flight performance. The competition is designed to transform the skills developed during the preparatory workshop into a practical engineering challenge.
The event will encourage students to explore model aviation and aerospace engineering while developing technical skills, innovation, communication, time management, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Further details regarding competition rules, judging criteria, registration, and the final event schedule will be communicated to registered teams.
