Idea Spark
Idea Spark is the idea pitching event of the IEEE Day celebrations, made for students with fresh thoughts, bold imaginations and the confidence to share them. Participants get a short, fixed time, usually three to five minutes, to pitch an original idea, product or startup concept to a panel of judges.
The idea can be in any area, such as technology, energy, healthcare, agriculture, education, smart devices or social impact. A strong pitch explains the problem being solved, the proposed solution, who it will help, what makes it different from existing options and how it could be built or grown in the real world. Participants can use slides, charts or small models to support their pitch, and the judges may ask a few questions at the end.
Teams are judged on originality, feasibility, impact, clarity of thought and the confidence of their delivery. Idea Spark is about more than winning. It teaches students to think like innovators, present their thoughts clearly and handle feedback with confidence.
It is also a great chance to see how a simple spark of an idea can grow into something that makes a difference. Whether your idea is big or small, Idea Spark is the place to share it and let it shine.
The winners are chosen by the judges' scores, and the top three participants or teams receive certificates and prizes.
