IEEE Global and SCV-OEB SSIT Chapter: Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange 50th Anniversary Global Celebration

 

Drs. Diffie and Hellman, recipients of the 2015 ACM A.M. Turing Award, will be joining us in person. The day will honor what their work made possible and look ahead to the next 50 years of digital public infrastructure.

Martin Hellman is a pioneering cryptographer and Stanford University professor emeritus. Together with Whitfield Diffie and Ralph Merkle, he helped develop public-key cryptography and the Diffie-Hellman key-exchange method, foundational technologies for secure internet communications.

Diffie and Hellman received the 2015 ACM A.M. Turing Award.

Whitfield Diffie is a pioneering cryptographer and mathematician best known for co-developing public-key cryptography and the Diffie-Hellman key exchange with Martin Hellman. He served as a distinguished engineer, Sun Fellow, and chief security officer at Sun Microsystems, and later as vice president for information security and cryptography at ICANN.
 
Diffie and Hellman received the 2015 ACM A.M. Turing Award.
