Integrated Community Based Sea Turtle Conservation / IEEE Day Celebrations
The Integrated Community-Based Sea Turtle Conservation framework demonstrates how grassroots marine management thrives when paired with engineering networks during IEEE Day Celebrations. This unique synergy empowers coastal residents, turning local fishers and volunteers into primary ecosystem guardians who protect nesting beaches and gather field data. Through humanitarian programmes like IEEE SIGHT, young engineers deploy low-cost technical solutions—ranging from mobile tracking applications and automated hatchery sensors to advanced deep-learning models that monitor underwater turtle behaviour. By celebrating these initiatives on IEEE Day, global tech communities highlight how engineering actively solves critical, real-world environmental challenges. Ultimately, this collaboration transforms traditional conservation into a sustainable, technology-driven model that local citizen scientists fully support.
