Discover how wearable technology, sound-based uroflowmetry, and cloud-connected healthcare could transform urological assessment. Dr. Alfonso Bahillo will explore an innovative digital urination diary that enables non-invasive monitoring at home, helping clinicians gain better insights into urinary function while bringing healthcare technology closer to everyday life. An exciting opportunity for students, urologists, and healthcare professionals to explore the future of smart, patient-centred care.

Reimagining Urological Care: Smart Digital Monitoring from Home to Hospital

Although uroflowmetry is a key diagnostic tool for assessing lower urinary tract function, its conventional implementation is limited to clinical environments and sporadic measurements. This work presents a wearable–home–cloud platform designed to enable the continuous, non-invasive and valid acquisition of sound-based uroflowmetry data in domestic settings. The proposed system forms the core of a digital urination diary which can be seamlessly integrated into users' daily routines, minimising disruption while supporting longitudinal monitoring.
